QUESTIONQUESTION: What other products do I need?
ANSWER:

Gypsy Rose Australia’s handmade ‘Kombucha Shampoo Bar is a multi-purpose product, you do not require any other facial cleansing product to remove your face makeup. Nor do you need additional moisturisers or toners. We do suggest however, that you use Gypsy Rose Rosehip Oil to remove your eye makeup and on your eyes and neck to hide wrinkles. Should you require a conditioner, you will only need 1 of our Gypsy Rose light ‘3 use’ Leave-in Conditioners.

QUESTION: Can I alternate between  your other three facial soap mixtures?
ANSWER:

Yes, you can alternate  between our  shampoo bar and 3 soap mixtures depending on seasonal conditions. Or you can even combine the soaps for certain areas of your face; eg. use the bar on face, but  Lavender, Clay and Apple Cider on oily areas &/or T-zone centre area, and/or  the Paw Paw, Carrot and Orange on the outer dry areas of your face. 

QUESTION: What is Sodium Olivate in your shampoo bar?
ANSWER:

Olea Europaea (Olive oil) Fruit Oil is the oil extracted  from the ripe fruit of Olea europaea. With the addition of hydrogen to olive oil results in Hydrogenated Olive Oil. Olive Acid is a mixture of fatty acids taken from olive oil and Potassium Olivate and Sodium Olivate of which are salts of olive oils fatty acids. 

Saponification is a name also given to the above chemical alkali reaction. Saponified oils (i.e. coconut or olive oil ) on other soaps ingredients list is simply a name now used for oils that has undergone the above process with a synthetic alkali-being no more natural than a quality soap made using sodium and/or potassium hydroxides, commonly known as soda lye, potash or caustic soda. Commercial soaps can be not only too alkaline, but these days also add all sorts of synthetic chemical cocktails to aid as preservatives, moisturising agents, anti-microbial & cleansers. This of course can be harsh and drying and has given the good old fashioned high quality ‘simple natural handmade processed’ soap of yesteryear a bad name.

QUESTION: As it doesn’t have Palm oil to make it last longer,how long will the product last
ANSWER:

The product will last approximately a month for facial use, as it does not dissolve easily. We suggest using the product on your face, once a day in winter and twice in summer. 

For your body, you only need to wipe one film over entire surface of your body to be clean. No need to continuously keep rubbing it away.

For your hair it depends on length, thickness and  how many times you shampoo your hair. The Kombucha Shampoo Bar doesn’t contain palm oil, so they will not last as long as the average rock hard shampoo bars i.e. 100’s of washes  However, the price, sustainable ingredients list and creamy pH balanced instant lather and  feel is worth it!

QUESTION: How do I store the product?
ANSWER:

To store, use our soap storage tin for long lasting freshness. Cut in half  as needed using a separate piece for body and face. The tin will hold 2 soaps. 

SOAP BARS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE STORED IN THE SHOWER IN BETWEEN USES

Whether it’s shampoo bars  or normal soap bars, the good quality bars made with saponified oils will turn to mush if they’re left permanently damp in a humid shower. Depending on the size of the family, the shampoo bar may get used twice a week, but 3 people having 2 showers a day will use the bar 35 times in a week so please  store out of shower on a rack styled tray. You can store open on a shower rack if shower only used once a day or buy a low cost  timber/bamboo soap tray with a rack or use our tin but pat dry firs

QUESTION: Why is the shampoo body bar expensive, aren’t they just soap?
ANSWER:

Yes shampoo bars have been around for years and because of their high pH they eventually upset the acid mantle of the skin and hair, they are not created equal! Try our Gypsy Rose Kombucha shampoo body bar  and you will instantly see and feel the creamy difference from the 1000’s of others. If you use  it sparingly – following the instructions on the “instructions for use tab,” you will be amazed at the softness of your skin. You will feel the difference that our pH balanced combinations make to the suppleness and elasticity of your skin. Remember: all Gypsy Rose products are handmade and cured using quality cold-pressed oils and vinegars.
